Colette Bennett is an educator, certified literacy specialist, and school district curriculum coordinator with more than 20 years of classroom experience. She has taught language arts and social studies at all levels ranging from middle school to early college.
Previously, Colette has served as English Department Chair, Social Studies Chair, and Chief Academic Officer at two high schools. She has presented strategies for integrating technology into the language arts classroom at national and international conferences, including events hosted by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), the Council on English Leadership (CEL), the Advanced Placement (AP) Conference, the Literacy for All Conference, the International Educators of English Conference, and the Computer Educators of Connecticut (CECA) Conference.
Colette Bennett holds a CAS (Certificate of Advanced Study) as well as certificates in reading (CT 102) and school administration (CT 092) from Sacred Heart University. She her M.A. in English from Western Connecticut State University and her B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University. Colette has also completed degree-awarding coursework at Wesleyan University's Graduate Liberal Studies Program.
