Heather Michon is a history writer specializing in U.S. and women's history. She has contributed to over a dozen encyclopedia and book series for Sage Publishing, Smithsonian Books, and other educational publishers, including the This Day In History series, The Encyclopedia of Emancipation and Abolition in the Transatlantic World, and Defining Moments in History.

Previously, Heather wrote about women's history and global women's news for the Vermont Women Magazine. Her column was later syndicated in women's magazines overseas. She also served for five years as managing editor for directories at the Philosophy Documentation Center, a non-profit scholarly publisher.

Heather holds a B.A. in History with a minor in U.S./Canadian Comparative History and Government from Trinity College of Vermont.
